The CDA-9886M marine CD receiver furthers Alpine's top-notch reputation for excellent sound, sealed against the elements for a life on the water. Its strong internal amp delivers powerful output, and you can shape the sound with Bass Engine® sound controls — a 2-band parametric equalizer, plus a low-pass filter for your subwoofer. The stereo also features a high-pass filter that'll keep your full-range speakers clear by eliminating the low bass that they can't handle.

The 2-line BioLite display delivers text that's easy to read, even in the sun's glare. Alpine's included KCE-422i iPod® cable lets you connect your iPod and use the Percentage Search function to find your favorite songs fast — just tap the radio preset buttons to jump quickly through sections of your playlist. You'll also find a built-in USB input ready for your thumb drives or USB-equipped music players (except iPod).
The CDA-9886M offers three sets of preamp outputs for connecting an amplified system. Use Alpine's optional IMPRINT sound tuning processor to turn your vessel into the perfect listening space — it measures the acoustics in your listening area and adjusts the stereo's settings automatically to create a perfect audio environment.

Connect the latest iPods and other portable audio sources to the receiver's USB input, or you can use Alpine's optional KCE-422i cable to set up a "Full Speed" connection with older iPods. You get easy and fast music selection and the best possible sound quality.
Simple iPod navigation and control
The centrally located jog dial mimics the functions of an iPod's click wheel. Turn it a little to access Search mode, then scroll line-by-line. Turn and hold the knob to move to Alphabet Search mode — now you can scroll through the letters of the alphabet to jump quickly through your lists of artists, albums, or songs. The current song keeps playing, so you won't interrupt the music while you're searching. The convenient "Back" button that lets you backtrack through the menus, instead of starting over from the top.
Flexible system-building options
This versatile stereo works with all of Alpine's peripheral gear, including satellite radio, auxiliary input adapter, add-on USB input, CD changer, or HD Radio™ tuner. Add Alpine's optional KCE-300BT Bluetooth® interface, and you'll be able to mute the music, answer an incoming call, or place a call with a touch of a button. Utah Law permits the use of window tint on vehicles registered here in Utah. The limitations are as follows. All windshields are prohibited from having window tint, or other non-transparent material placed below the AS-1 line or 4 inches down from the top of the windshield, whichever is lower. The driver and front seat passenger side windows must not allow less than 43 percent light transmittance. All other windows behind the front seat have no minimum light transmittance requirements. Although, if the windows behind the driver’s seat are tinted, the vehicle must have both the outside rear-view mirrors on the left and right side of the vehicle. Any window tint that is present on any vehicle must not be treated with a material, which presents a metallic or mirrored appearance when viewed from the outside of the vehicle. According to Federal Law, commercial vehicles are prohibited from having any window tint. AMPLIFIERS:

Can I have tinting on the windows of my vehicle?

Utah Law permits the use of window tint on vehicles registered here in Utah. The limitations are as follows. All windshields are prohibited from having window tint, or other non-transparent material placed below the AS-1 line or 4 inches down from the top of the windshield, whichever is lower. The driver and front seat passenger side windows must not allow less than 43 percent light transmittance. All other windows behind the front seat have no minimum light transmittance requirements. Although, if the windows behind the driver’s seat are tinted, the vehicle must have both the outside rear-view mirrors on the left and right side of the vehicle. Any window tint that is present on any vehicle must not be treated with a material, which presents a metallic or mirrored appearance when viewed from the outside of the vehicle. According to Federal Law, commercial vehicles are prohibited from having any window tint. If you have additional questions on this subject, please contact the Safety Inspection Section at (801) 965-4889 Option 1.
